Bruce Graham
Born and raised on Canada’s West Coast, Bruce began playing drums in 1978. As a teen, he spent endless hours in his room or on the roadside, playing his drums to songs on the radio, records, 8-track tapes, and any media he could get at. Finding other musicians to jam with was difficult during those years, as there were very few living in the small town of Sooke, BC. One of Bruce’s earliest gigs, he was recruited while playing drums on the roadside, by Wayne Peters’ band Homebrew. During the late 1980’s Bruce had teamed up with a guitar player and spent 3 years playing soft rock favourites and many original songs at Victoria, BC’s world famous Inner Harbour. Then, while spending the 1990’s and early millennium living on Salt Spring Island, Bruce had the opportunity to jam with musicians like Valdy, Harry Manxx, Donny MacDougall of The Guess Who, and Pat Cullen of 1960’s Winnipeg group Graham Shaw & Sincere Serenaders.
It was at an open stage event that Bruce met current band-mate Jeff Noyes. They spent 3 years refining their repertoire and burning through bass players. With the addition of Devon Piche, a young player with gobs of talent, the line up for the PERISH is fulfilled.
